The kids and I had a cozy little weekend. Rob was on a "mancation" with Ryan and Max. They flew to Dallas, caught a Mavericks game, a Charger game, ate some really good food and stayed at The W.
We had a lot of rain, drank A LOT of hot chocolate and Gracey and I made giant snow flakes. She is so in love with them and thinks it is hilarious that it is snowing in the house.

Man cub just smiled and giggled all weekend and followed Gracey around the toy room.

...and we might have made brownies.

For family night we made our very own gingerbread house. We were lucky there was any candy left to decorate the house with.

...so excited!

We are taking Gracey on a date to go see this movie tonight. She has been looking forward to this day for months. She has memorized the book and knows all the characters. She is so excited to have a BIG bag of popcorn and a drink to set in "the hole" It's going to be a FUN, FUN night!

2009 has been such a great year. These are pictures from Christmas last year. I am blown away by how much has changed. Gracey has really grown up this year and it has been so much fun watching her turn into a little girl. We are so grateful that Beckham came to us healthy and has been such a sweet boy and a perfect addition to our family.

We had family pics this weekend. Love that I got one with Rob, now a days we rarely are in a picture together.

This might be my favorite of the day. Love that girl. Most of our pictures are with Gracey holding her personal progress book. Now that I am Young Woman pres, she is working on it early:)
No seriously, it's called her temple book and they are inseparable. I got her to hide it under her skirt in this picture!

Gracey putting dad to sleep. (reading him personal progress)

Rob and I took some of the youth to do temple work a few weeks ago. These are a few of my girls.

Gracey is turning into such a little girl. It blows my mind that we have conversations together. She is always good for a laugh. Here are a few of my favorites from this last week.

mom: "Gracey, did you know that Auntie Erinn is going to have a baby boy? What do you think they should name him?"
Gracey:"Dopey, maybe?"

mom: "What do you think Harm's little girl's name should be?"
Gracey: "I think Lola is good. My Uncle Garrett has a dog named Lola"

While grocery shopping...
Gracey: "My dad loves Toucan cereal."
mom: "Yes, he sure does. We like wheat squares."
Gracey: " Ya, I'll tell dad that he is going to get a tummy ache from all the sugar bugs"

Gracey: " Mom, remember at Candace's wedding, Grammy spilled champagne all over her?
mom: "Yes I do. It was just an accident though"
Gracey: "She was SMELLLLY"
(This incident was over a month ago and was randomly brought up)

Gracey: "Dad, I didn't kick the birds at the beach"

This little guy is everywhere. He is definitely keeping me busy. Good thing he wears a diaper because, he is WAY too brave and is always falling.

GRACEY'S FIRST HAIRCUT

I took Gracey to Kids Kutz in Encinitas last week for her first haircut. She was so excited to sit in the car while they cut her hair. They made our first haircut "experience" such a fun one!

Beckham was entertained as well. There were flat screens with Nemo playing, a train that ran along the ceiling and lots of fun toys.

She left with pig tails, little flower clips and fairy dust. What more could a girl want?

Beckham- 6 months old

This sweet little guy melts my heart on a daily basis. He is so cuddly, loves to give kisses and adores his big sister.

-He has a permanent drool attached to his chin.
-Loves his food. So far that includes rice cereal, squash and pumpkin.
-Gracey usually sleeps more in a day than Beckham.
-He smiles so easily and will let anyone hold him.
-Hates his car seat, but is increasingly becoming more entertained by big sis.
-He is tiny but mighty. Beckham is pulling himself up on anything he can get his hands on to and is crawling way TOO FAST.

Playing Peek-a-boo with Gracey.

I dressed my kids for a winter storm today, before I realized it was 75 degrees outside. The outfit was short lived! I have been stuck in the house for so many days I forgot I lived in So. Cal.

Trick-or-Treat!
Gracey has been out of commission, but she managed to get her costume on, fake smile for a few pictures and trick-or-treat at 2 neighbors homes.

Beckham has been so patient watching mom workout in the morning at Jazzercise. Today, he officially graduated from the car seat in the hallway to the Nursery with Gracey.
I peeked in a few times and Gracey had permanently fixed herself in front of her little brother, guarding him with her life. Pretty sweet.

I had an entire hour to get my serious sweat on. Jazzercise...watch out, I am officially back!

I felt like wonder mom today, ready to conquer any toddler emotional breakdown that comes my way.

LAS FLORES SURF CLUB, EL SALVADOR

This fabulous resort has become one of our favorite destinations. It has everything you need for a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation. Las Flores is a natural cove, surrounded by dense tropical flora, a black sand beach and an epic right point break. I think the only thing that would make this place more unreal is if the diet coke was on tap.

We missed the kids dearly but loved every minute away.

Cheers to homemade Horchata.

The girls were so excited that a yoga program was added to the activities of the resort. We did 2 hour classes up on this serene outlook, at the top of a hill. The view was absolutely stunning.

Cultural night.

The Girls

THE CREW

Loved our vacation together and some good down time.
Many thanks to the "grammy's" for taking such good care of our kids while we were gone.
