After having a busy month of traveling we did a lot of this today...

Spinning

hanging out

watched some shows and made pizza with mom.

Our travels began with a trip up to Santa Maria with the Harris'. Rob and I both call Santa Maria our "hometown" so we were really excited to show our good friends our old stomping grounds.
On our way to Santa Maria we made a stop in Santa Barbara to visit Rob's 99 year old Granny. She was so excited to see the kids and hold our hands. She is still so witty. Unfortunately, she was recovering from a fall so she wasn't able to get out of bed. How lucky Gracey and Beckham are to have a great, great grandma.

Erinn and Mama May were there as well, of course they came bearing gifts for the kids. Too sweet.

Welcome to Santa Maria!

Max, Abby and Charlie got to meet our neighbors pony Brownie.

We visited our first apartment/dungeon in Arroyo Grande, went to the local Farmers Market and tried yellow raspberries. We spent some time checking out Pismo Beach, looking at surf spots, and our favorite Avila Beach. We went to Avila Farms and took a tractor ride through the farm and ate homemade fudge and ice cream.

Hello Utah!- So, I decided that 2 kids isn't going to stop me from traveling by myself. Gracey loved having her own seat on the plane and looking out the window. She chatted the entire trip.

We took many fun walks along the river trail.

Gracey loved walking Max

These are the many ways you show your love to Linny...

you hold each other

...you brush her shiney head

you ride her...

and give oh so many kisses!

Teishi and Amelia came for a pool day. The girls had fun splashing together.
We made many visits to this fabulous splash park. We need one of these back home!

Love those cheeks Linny

Gracey wanted Linny to swing too

Rob's mom made this dip for us while visiting last month and I just can't get enough of it. I have used it on taco salads, in soup and with veggies... Thought I would share her recipe.
FAT FREE never tasted so good!

Cilantro Dip

1 pkg Hidden Valley "The Original Ranch Buttermilk Recipe Salad Dressing Mix (Be sure to get the BUTTERMILK recipe--I've used other dip mixes, such as: vegetable or green onion, just be aware that sometimes you need two packages of the dip mix, as you're using
2 C of sour cream)
1 jalapeno (more/less depending on taste)
2 tomatillos, de-husked and quartered
1 whole bunch cilantro
juice of one lime (I like to add the zest, too)
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 c onion (I've used green or white onions or chives whatever you like-it all works
2 Cups sour cream (I use fat free)
Put everything in my food processor or blender.
Then I taste...sometimes I add more lime-or a little hot chili paste...or some salt/pepper.
This dip is great on salads, used as a dip or swirl some in soup.
