MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Highlights of 2007: Gracey was born in May, Rob passed the Bar and loves his law firm, Barbados and New York trip with Ryan and Leanne (was that really 2007?) Surfing with Justin, Tues, Thurs workouts with Leanne and too many beach days to count. Play dates with Kaden and Tiffany, Madison is born and Skye is on the way, Gracey and I took a couple fun trips to Utah, Rob surfs El Salvador with the firm. Girls shopping in San Francisco. Families that I adore and love to spend time with. I couldn't ask for more!
Posted by PicasaWe had a wonderful Christmas with Gracey and my family this year. Christmas eve Gracey opened her red flannel jammies and Rob and I spent the evening preparing food for Christmas. Rob woke up early and had candles lit and a fire going. My parents stayed with us and my sisters and their families arrived in the morning. Our gift exchange lasted most of the day...revolving around naps, brunch and a call from Justin in Croatia. For Christmas dinner we have adopted the May's family tradition of choosing what ever you want.
We call it "My favorite thing" Our dinner this year consisted of:
Rob-seared ahi, lettuce wraps
Felicity-Thai Food
Mom- toasted ravioli's
Dad- Ham, twice baked potatoes
Tiffany- pumpkin pie
Bryce-baked brie
Eric-iced sugar cookies
Harmony-garlic bread
We also shared our favorite Christmas memories. When Harmony was in Elementary school she made a teddy bear Christmas ornament. This bear has the biggest belly and every year we would torment poor Harmony by putting the "pregnant bear" in the back of the tree. This was done multiple times in one season. Bryce made sure he carried on the tradition by doing the same while visiting their home this holiday. :)
I have received so many precious gifts over the years. My mom is very creative and thoughtful, one year even making me a board bag for my surf board. Last year Rob's mom made Gracey an ABC book that is about our family and Christ. It is adorable. Of all the many gifts, the greatest of all is our Saviour. I love this time of year and am so grateful for all of my many blessings. Have a safe New Years and we will see what 2008 has in store for the May's!

HOLY CAVITIES!

The biggest hit of all is not pictured... for obvious reasons :) It consisted of one crispy Nila wafer, smooth cream cheese and sweet red cherries. I won't reveal who the culprit was, but you might be able to guess ... Gracey.

(Please note, the cookies above are not burnt, but rather pumpkin chocolate chip!)

Today I got together with my sisters and my mom to make Christmas treats. Many recipes we have been making since I was a young girl. (This includes Russian Tea Cakes, which nobody seems to like that much, but it continues to make it on the Christmas menu year after year). It was a wonderful day, my Mom, my sisters, and all the babies together! Overall, I am quite impressed with our efforts, as we delivered 7 different Holiday treats, changed too many diapers to count, kept the babies tummy's full, and monitored Kaden's overzealous kisses with Gracey. (Many which ended in tears.) We are all so blessed to have each other. I am especially grateful to have my sisters so close and a Mom who is willing go anywhere and do anything for her kids.

"Grammy you don't have enough hands anymore"

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the farest of them all?

Maddy is here! Bryce and Tiffany welcomed Madison Joy into their family on Friday, Dec 7th. She weighed 7lbs 1oz and 20 1/2 inches. She is absolutely precious and we are so excited to have a niece. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. I hope Maddy and Gracey will be the best of friends.

In San Francisco we ran into some nice gentlemen. Gracey begged me to get a picture with them. Rob was disappointed he wasn't there...we could have made this our Christmas card!
